12,000 lbs. Dual Wheel Dexter® Trailer Axles
Heavy Duty 12K axle is constructed of 5 1/8" x 5/16" heavy wall tubing. The spindle is cold forged, fully machined and friction welded to the axle tube, creating a weld which is stronger than the base metal.
Axles equipped with drum brakes have a two piece hub and drum assembly which has a replaceable steel armature for use with electric brakes. Oil caps are molded from high strength polycarbonate to minimize breakage and leakage. Timken bearings are lubricated with SAE 90 weight oil to assure long bearing life.
